How did you first hear about the HSTA?
I met Win Knudsen who introduced me to the club.

First Bike:
1983 Kawasaki GPz550

For looks, 1993 Kaw ZX7, overall, my current Sprint ST.

Who (or what) was your biggest influence in motorcycling?
Two people:  Wilma Peters and Win Knudsen.  Wilma worked with my mother when I was in high school and let me use her Honda CB650 to get my license.  First bike I ever rode and first bike I ever dropped, during my road test at that.  Had to re-take the test but Wilma never flinched.  Win led me on my first ride to the Smokies and showed me how well someone could ride an EX500.  He made me realize that it’s not the bike, it’s the rider.

Favorite place to ride:
Anywhere with smooth sweepers and elevation changes, California and Appalachia come to mind.

Most memorable motorcycle adventure:
1500-mile trip from L.A. to Laguna and back to attend the U.S. MotoGP.

Best motorcycle advice or tip learned over the years:
Relax, relax, relax.

What turns you on the most about motorcycling or why do you like to ride?
My favorite form of meditation.

What do you get out of the HSTA?
Good people, events and riding groups that share my pace.

Hobbies and interests outside of motorcycling:
Traveling with my wife, tinkering with my Bug, photography.

Best question that wasn't asked :
What’s your sign?  Answer:  CAUTION: WINDING CURVES AHEAD
