How did you first hear about the HSTA:
ST1100 Internet Mail List, STOC

First Bike:
Gilera 125

Favorite Bike:
Whichever one of my current rides I happen to be riding.

Who (or what) was your biggest influence in motorcycling?
My first ride on a friends’ Honda step-through 50 in 1964.
I knew then that riding was something I simply HAD to do.

Favorite place to ride:
Wherever there are twisty roads.

Most memorable motorcycle adventure:
Too many to pick one out, every ride is a memorable although some are way more adventurous and exciting than others.

Best motorcycle advice or tip learned over the years:
Two of them actually
Look where you want to go
Ride your own ride

What turns you on the most about motorcycling or why do you like to ride?
I find the technical aspects of riding competently challenging. The feeling of hitting an apex at speed and accelerating out of curve is intoxicating. Riding frees my mind of everything else except for the task at hand.

What do you get out of the HSTA?
Great friends, great rides and a strong sense of camaraderie

Hobbies and interests outside of motorcycling:
Between working, life’s normal routine, HSTA State Director duties and riding there’s not much time left over for other hobbies or interests. I do like to spend time machining parts – albeit mostly for motorcycles.

Best question that wasn’t asked:
Can’t think of one.
